Neurological Physiotherapy
Neurological physiotherapy is practised by neurological physiotherapists. It is a specialist form of treatment provided for patients who have suffered an injury or have a condition affecting their central nervous system (brain and spinal cord) or peripheral nervous system (nerves of the body outside of the spinal cord).
Neurological physiotherapy utilises one or more treatment principles such as Bobath approach, Carr and Shepherd approach, Brunnstrom approach and Conductive Education. Neurological Physiotherapy can also be provided for babies and children in the form of neurological paediatric physiotherapy. Neurological physiotherapy treatment can allow individuals with numerous neurological conditions and symptoms to reach their goals and realise their potential.
